GWA has saved 3 days - 12/16/2005 08:59:00 AM

This morning my Google Web Accelerator ticked over to 3.0 days saved.

gwa_3days

I've been running GWA since the beta version was first released earlier this year, and kept running it after the beta was pulled and then later reinstated.

Buygoogle has speculated that GWA is much more than a quirky tool to save a little time -- Google's continuing commitment to enhance and support this controversial product demonstrates that it is an important part of Google's product portfolio.

There hasn't been much discussion of GWA recently, and Google has done virtually zero promotion of this product, yet Google continues to quietly roll out new releases.

GWA is alive and (apparently working well). My performance statistics show that I've viewed 173,072 Web pages since installing GWA in May -- it's a little scary to see how much time I spent online.

(Wait ... according to this, my web page load time averages 17 hours per day! Are these numbers right? Even if I did spend 17 hours a day at the computer, that's still not 17 hours of load time, is it? So have I really saved 72 hours by speeding up my online experience?)
